Ready....Set....Go!!!!!

Welcome to the last full breath before the arrival of the holiday season.

If you are cooking big bird tomorrow for the clan, you have been working towards it for days, weeks even. From soup to nuts...nuts, check.

See I have my list, in fact, my list has a backup and my backup has post its stuck on everything. Each task is carefully performed, tradition preserved. The house is cleaned top to bottom and china set on the big table. Whew...Everyone gathers and then, you find out the turkey is bleeding to death on the platter......the marshmallow topping on the sweet potatoes is, YIKES, on fire. The dog threw up on the carpet. 

Wake up! It was just a bad dream.

If you don't live under a rock you are humming with the commercials on tv and reading the sale papers like the Bible.

Is that cousin Moe camping out in front of Best Buy? No...that guy has more hair...maybe a toupee? Nah...our family is a little saner than that....But still, that looks a lot like Moe, maybe the camera will pan to the parking lot so I can see if his car is parked....

Maybe I should take him a cup of coffee and join him.

It's right here that I forget what in the world is happening. Have I actually lost the meaning of it all and gone crackers? Oh my gosh...I forgot the crackers, where's my list?

As the holiday madness fogs up the windows maybe you wonder if it's all worth it and it hasn't even started yet.

I'm tired already.NO no no, I can't be tired, I have to get up.

This year I won't really be doing all the cooking and the house is still needing a good spit and polish. We have reservations in Frankenmuth. I will sit and be pampered, savoring the sights, sounds and revelry of the holiday forming around me.

Honestly, I think we are really going to love it. Just being together is everything.

Happy day before Thanksgiving! This is going to be the very best holiday yet. Maybe not worthy of a magazine spread, but to you and yours from me and mine,
