Charges to be added to Fenton Township Shooting Case, Fenton Mom Opens Gluten-Free Store

As usual, there was plenty of news in Fenton this week.

Here is a look at what you might have missed.

Monday, Oct. 1

We provided you with resources around Fenton to help readers stay healthy, as research shows good nutrition and exercise can help prevent breast cancer.

Fenton Patch had its with information readers need about every race in town.

Many are thinking pink for October, and we had ways you can participate, pledge support and donate to the cause in Michigan.

In addition, we had the story about a Fenton mother, Marcy Watters, who has opened Ms. Ali’s Gluten Free Treats at the Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi. Watters has made baked goods for years for her daughter, who has celiac disease.

Also on Monday, Fenton Patch let you know about runners from Fenton who competed in the Brooksie Way in Rochester Hills on Sunday. They helped raised money for health and wellness mini-grants in the annual race.

And we had the news on the late Patrick O’Rourke, of Fenton, being promoted to sergeant by the West Bloomfield Police Department. If he were able to continue his heroic career, O’Rourke would likely have been promoted, his department says.

Tuesday, Oct. 2
