Why go: Support high school theater and enjoy this Shakespeare classic

When: 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11

Cost: Free, but must register at the library: go to www.cromaine.org or call 810-632-5200

Why go: Captain Deren, Great Lakes Seafaring Schooner Captain of Past in Person, performs music and stories typical of the Great Lakes schooners in a fun, interactive show for all ages


Where: Fenton High School, 3200 W Shiawassee Ave, Fenton

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12

Cost:  $1

Why go: The school's hosting a one-stop shop for upperclassmen looking for prom and graduation essentials, including dresses, uxedos, photographers, limo rentals, hair/make up artists, florists and more.


Where: Hartland High School, 10635 Dunham Rd, Hartland, MI

When: 7-10:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11

Cost: $5 for students/seniors, $10 for adults, or $25 for families

Why go: Enjoy this dance open to the entire community as well as excellent live swing bands including the renowned Ambassadors Big Band! Food and drink are free with admission.
