Accident Slows Traffic on US 23 in Fenton Township
Highway limited to one lane for more than an hour, closed down completely for several minutes.
A vehicle accident left one lane of traffic open on northbound U.S. 23 for more than an hour near the rest area in Fenton Township Friday.
Fenton police and firefighters and the Genesee County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of the accident, which involved a semi-truck around 11:15 a.m. on northbound US 23 between North and Torrey Roads.
It appears there were no major injuries in the crash, however, traffic was slowed and all northbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes around 12:15 p.m. as the vehicles were removed from the area, before officials opened up the shoulder to let vehicles pass.
