Crime Report: $400 in Video Games Stolen From Fenton Walmart

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police believe suspects arrested in Grand Blanc Township could be responsible for a string of thefts in Fenton.

Chief Rick Aro said a resident reported property missing from his vehicle at the 17000 block of Georgetown Parkway and another resident told police someone stole his 1995 Ford Thunderbird from the same area. Both incidents were reported on May 13.

Aro said the vehicle was later found abandoned by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department on Thompson Road.

Detectives are looking into the case and it remains under investigation.

Retail Fraud

Police arrested two suspects after store officials say they stole $400 worth of video games from .

Aro said Walmart officials told police two men exited the store without paying for several video games and drove east on Owen Road in a green Oldsmobile.

Police spotted the car and conducted a traffic stop. The two men were arrested on retail fraud charges and the video games were recovered. Police also found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle including a used syringe, razor blades, a metal spoon and a crack pipe.

The men were charged with one court of retail fraud and possession of stolen property.

One of the suspects, a 21-year-old Flint man, had outstanding warrants from Oakland and Genesee County and was turned over to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department. The other suspects, a 25-year-old Davison resident, was held overnight and released.
