Crime Report: Damaged Truck Tires, Missing Debit Card

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police are investigating a complaint of damaged truck tires at on the 1100 block of Fenway Circle.

Chief Rick Aro said a manager reported it appeared someone had tried to steal the tires off of a freight truck that was parked on the loading dock. The manager told police the tires were partially removed some time between Nov. 24 and early on Nov. 28.

Aro said the value of the four damaged tires was $2,000.

Police have no suspects and are waiting to receive video surveillance footage from officials.

Missing vehicle

Police are searching for a 2008 Ford Explorer that was reported missing from in Fenton.

A manager told police the vehicle was found missing from the inventory and that the keys were found in a former employee’s desk. There were also two dealer plates missing from the inventory, Aro said.

Police are trying to contact the former employee and are continuing the investigation.

The truck is valued at $15,000.

Missing debit card

A 67-year-old Fenton woman filed a complaint of a missing debit card to police on Nov. 28.

Aro said the woman reported the card had been missing since Nov. 24 and several ATM withdrawals totaling $300 had been made. She told police a young couple had been staying with her and she had previously allowed a 24-year-old Fenton man to use the card.

Police are continuing to investigate and attempting to contact the suspect.

Recovered bike

Police have recovered a missing Yamaha mini bike from a home on the 200 block of Ponchartrain Drive.

A on Nov. 12 and returned on Nov. 17 to find a shattered window in his garage and his white 1998 Yamaha PW80 mini bike with a purple seat and chrome wheels missing.

Aro said police found the bike in the same area where on charges of breaking into and .

Aro said police believe the same suspect is responsible for the minibike theft and continue to investigate the incident.
