Crime Report: Drunken Driver Crashes into Pole, Pit Bull Runs Loose
The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A drunken driver crashed into a utility pole on North Leroy Street near Elizabeth Street around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Chief Rick Aro said an officer responded to the crash and made contact with the driver, who said he had lost control of his 2007 Ford Mustang. The driver appeared to be intoxicated, Aro said, and was given a preliminary breath test that registered a .114 blood/alcohol content, which is over the legal limit of .08.
The 36-year-old Linden resident was arrested on charges of drunken driving.

Retail fraud
Police are investigating a case of retail fraud that occurred around 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at .

Store employees told police a man stuffed a $58 Affliction shirt inside his jacket and set off the theft sensor as he left the store without paying for the item.
Employees told police they tried to contact the man, but he fled the area.
Police have no suspects.
Loose pit bull
Fenton Police received a call about a loose pit bull on Chinkapin Rill in Fenton Oaks around 3:50 am Dec. 20. Aro said witnesses told police a PT Cruiser drove up and dropped off the pit bull in the neighborhood. Witness also indicated they might have recognized the man who dropped off the dog, Aro said.
Police made contact with individuals at the man’s residence, who agreed to come pick up the dog and take it to animal control.
