Crime Report: Mother, Daughters Ticketed in Underage Drinking Incident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police issued three alcohol-related tickets to a mother and her two underage daughters after receiving complaints of a loud party Feb. 3

Chief Rick Aro said officers made contact with residents at the 1700 building of , where police had issued warnings for prior disturbances.

Around 11:15 p.m. officers discovered several young people with beer in plastic cups.

Two of the young subjects, the mother's daughters, ages 17 and 19, were given preliminary breath tests, which confirmed they had been drinking. Police issued a ticket for furnishing alcohol to minors to the mother and the daughters were ticketed for underage drinking.

Police are searching for suspects that have been removing street and traffic signs in Fenton during the past couple weeks.

Aro said a yield sign at Oak and High Street and stop signs at Mill and West Streets as well as South Leroy Street and Jayne Road have come up missing.

Aro said taking signs is a misdemeanor punishable by 93 days in jail or $500 in fines. There can be civil action if the missing sign results in an injury or death.
