Crime Report: Fenton Man Arrested on Malicious Destruction of Property Charges, Felony Warrant

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

arrested a 31-year-old Fenton man on charges of malicious destruction of property around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The Genesee County Central Dispatch put out a broadcast to be on the lookout for a red Cadillac after the destruction of property complaint from a Mundy Township bar. Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said an officer noticed a vehicle that matched the description on U.S. 23 South near North Road. He said the officer pulled the vehicle over and made contact with the suspect, who told police he was at the bar. Aro said the Fenton man had an oustanding felony warrant for auto theft in Livingston County and another warrant for a misdemeanor out of Flint.

He was arrested and taken to the Livingston County Jail.

Missing iPhone

A 17-year-old Davisburg resident reported her iPhone missing after attending a party March 3 on the 700 block of .

Aro said she told police she set it on her purse and found it missing a couple hours later. She searched the apartment, but could not find the phone, Aro said.

Police have no suspects.

Catalytic converter theft

Police arrested two Flint men on charges of theft after an officer observed them attempting to steal the catalytic converter from a mini van in the Silver Lake Road car pool lot around 11:15 a.m. on March 3.

Aro said the officer saw one of the men under the van with a saw. The officer confronted the men and found another catalytic converter in their vehicle.

The men, ages 30 and 45, were arrested and held overnight at the Genesee County Jail.
