Crime Report: Fenton Home Invasion Leads to Fight, Teens Ticketed for Drinking

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred on the 900 block of West Shiawassee Street on June 4.

Chief Rick Aro said a woman told police another woman she did not recognize had entered the home around 7:15 p.m. The suspect threatened the homeowner, Aro said, and then she told police the intruder then struck her in the face several times. Aro said the homeowner later discovered the woman was her husband’s ex-wife.

The homeowner gave police a description of the vehicle and the license plate number of the suspect's vehicle after she left the residence and police made traffic stop on the car on Owen Road and later arrested the 44-year-old Bay City resident on home invasion charges.

Police arrested three teenagers for underage drinking after an employee of a restaurant on the 1300 block of North Leroy Street called police about juveniles with alcohol on their breath.

The employee gave police a description of the teens’ vehicle, Aro said, and an officer conducted a traffic stop nearby. The officer smelled alcohol and had the teens take several sobriety tests, Aro said. The officer also found a bottle of whiskey in the vehicle.

Police ticketed the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old Fenton man, on charges of driving while impaired after a preliminary breath test revealed a blood/alcohol content between .02 and .07 and for underage drinking. Two other passengers, a 16-year-old Fenton male and 16-year-old Burton male, also failed a breath test and were ticketed on charges of underage drinking and turned over to their parents.
