Crime Report: Police Arrest Man for Disorderly Intoxication

The following arrest information was supplied by the city of Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a 36-year-old Livonia man for disorderly intoxication at 8:30 p.m. July 27 on the 400 block of East Elizabeth Street

Fenton Police responded to a complaint of a disorderly person when a resident reported a man, who he knew, was pounding on the door, but the resident did not answer because of the man’s violent behavior. The resident said he observed the 36-year-old Livonia resident rip two mailboxes off of the home and throw them.

Aro said police arrived and the man was uncooperative. He was arrested for disorderly intoxication and held at the Fenton Police Department until the next morning and given a notice to appear in court.

Missing truck

reported a missing vehicle on July 27, police said.

Employees reported a forest green 1997 Chevy Silverado pickup with a brush guard and aluminum rims missing from the used car lot.

The manager said the vehicle had been shown three weeks prior and the manager had the keys to the vehicle, but it appeared one key could have been switched.

Police have no suspects.

Larceny of 240 gallons of diesel fuel

Rr Freight, 1090 Grant Street, reported a larceny of gas to police at 3:15 p.m. July 28.

Employees reported someone had taken 240 gallons of diesel fuel from the trucks in the yard during the last several days.

Police have no suspects, but will be reviewing video footage.

Retail Fraud

Fenton police arrested a 28-year-old Fenton woman on charges of retail fraud on July 24 at the Fenton .

Chief Rick Aro said store employees observed the woman  place items in a reusable Walmart bag, placing it under the cart , which held her 2-year-old daughter, and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items.

She was stopped by security and held until police arrived. Aro said she admitted to attempting to take $86 worth of merchandise because she didn’t have enough money to pay for the items.

The woman’s husband was called to pick up the daughter and the woman was taken to the Fenton Police Department.
