Crime Report: Teen Arrested at Fenton High School, Mother Presses Charges Against Son

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department and the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police investigated two vehicles parked at at 4 a.m. Oct. 30 and found three people trying to clear the fence on to the football field, according to Fenton police.

Two subjects fled the scene, while the other was caught by police. Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said the officer believed the teenager had been drinking. He was given a preliminary breath test, which revealed a blood/alcohol over the legal limit of .08.

He was given a ticket for underage drinking, and trespassing on school property turned over to his parents and given a notice to appear in court.

Mother pursue charges on son

Police say they received a call about a missing vehicle at midnight Oct. 28 from a mother on the block of 3000 Foley Glen Circle who said she believed her son took her car with out her permission.

She told police her son had a drug problem and could be out looking for drugs. She called her son when police arrived and asked him to return the car, police say.

The 37-year-old Fenton man returned the car around 5 a.m, but police say the mother still wanted to press charges and the son was arrested later that day for failure to return a vehicle.

More than 50 items from a snowmobile trailer stolen in Tyrone Township

Nearly $8,000 in winter gear and mechanical equipment was reported stolen from a snowmobile trailer in the 9500 block of Bennett Lake Road in Tyrone Township, according to the Livingston County Sherrif's Department.

More than 50 items were taken that ranged from snow jackets worth $300 each and snow boots worth $185 a pair to tools such as $200 box wrenches and a $390 volt meter, a police report said. The theft took place between Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, the report said.

The 40-year-old trailer owner told police the it had been locked.

Deerfield Township man reports $750 in jewelry missing

A 40-year-old Deerfield Township man reported five gold necklaces worth $750 missing from the family's Delmar Drive home, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

The man told police he discovered an open window when returning home at about 4 p.m., the jewelry gone and a hypodermic syringe cap on a vanity, according to a police report.

He told police he believed his heroin-addicted daughter, 20, stole the jewelry. The woman, who police found at her boyfriend's home nearby, told police she entered the home — where she's not permitted — on Oct. 26 to find a phone charger, but denied stealing the jewelry, according to a police report.
