Fenton Crime Report: Stolen Diaper Bag, Credit Card Fraud

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

are investigating a case of a stolen diaper bag after a 29-year-old Fenton resident reported it missing as she went in to pay for gas on Owen Road around 1 p.m. April 6.

Later that day, police recovered the bag, which had been abandoned at a medical center on Owen Road. All items in the bag were recovered, Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said, however $50 had been charged at a gas station. Aro said police were able to get a fingerprint off of the credit card and review video footage from the gas station where the bag was taken and are continuing to try to identify the suspect.

Missing grass trimmer

Police are investigating a case of a missing grass trimmer from lot 58 of Chinkapin Rill.

A resident told police he left the trimmer in his yard on April 7 and later found it missing.

Police have no suspects. However, it was found the complainant had an outstanding warrant and he was arrested before posting bond and given a notice to appear in court.

Missing purse

Police are searching for suspects in a case of a missing purse.

Aro said a woman told police she left her purse in a cart at after purchasing groceries on April 7 around 12:30 p.m.

Police have no suspects.

Credit Card Fraud

Police are investigating a case of credit card fraud after a 68-year Linden resident reported April 7 around $600 had been charged to credit card in Fenton between Dec. 20 and Dec. 27, 2011

The man said he allowed his granddaughter to use the card occasionally, but during those dates he had the card in his possession.

Police have no suspects.
