Fenton Man Sent To Prison For Videotaping Stepdaughter

A Fenton man is headed to prison on charges that he secretly videotaped his stepdaughter, WHMI (93.5 FM) reports.

The article stated 50-year-old Gary Wayne Anthony was ordered to serve one year and four months and a maximum of 84 months behind bars for his to 14 charges. He pleaded guilty to seven counts of using a computer to commit a crime and seven counts of capturing or distributing images of unclothed underage persons. In exchange, prosecutors dropped one count of child abusive commercial activity and one count of using a computer to commit a crime. He must also register as a sex offender.

In March, WNEM-TV (Channel 5) reported that the stepdaughter, who was 15 and 16 at the time, found the explicit videos of herself on the computer.

The Flint Journal reported in March that the incidents happened in 2007 and 2008 and that the stepdaughter, now 20, found the images after borrowing the computer in January.

“He got her nakedly going to the bathroom and taking a shower and going in the bathroom,” Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell said in the WNEM story. “He had hidden cameras all in the bathroom."
