Fenton Police Arrest Teenager on Marijuana Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Fenton Police arrested a Clarkston teenager on possession of marijuana charges after suspicious activity was reported to police around 4:40 p.m. Oct. 16 near Trealout Drive in Fenton.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said an officer observed the suspicious activity in the area, made a traffic stop on a 1996 Saturn, and noticed remnants of marijuana on the seat, center console and floor. Police search the vehicle and found marijuana and other paraphenelia.

Aro said police arrested the 19-year-old and gave him a notice to appear in court.

Wallet theft

Police are investigating a case of wallet theft after a 29-year-old Fenton woman reported her wallet missing on Oct. 17.

Aro said she had the wallet sitting on a table at a bar on the 700 block of Torrey Road and had noticed the next day the wallet was not in her purse. The woman’s boyfriend talked to bar employees the next day and found the wallet in the trash of the men’s bathroom, however, a large amount of cash was missing.

The man gave police a name of a suspect, who police interviewed and he denied any involvement.

Police continue to investigate the case.
