Fenton Police Still Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect
Man stole two bottles of pain medication from Walgreen's on Silver Lake Road on Friday night, police say.
Two bottles of pain medication were stolen during an armed robbery of the Walgreen’s pharmacy in Fenton on Friday, said Chief of Police Rick Aro. During the theft, the man produced a black semi-automatic handgun but didn’t make any overt threats other than having the weapon in his hand, police said.
The man entered the Walgreen’s store at 8 p.m. Friday and handed the pharmacy clerk a note announcing the robbery, Aro said. At one point, the man spoke and asked for pain medication. After obtaining the medication, he ran from the store and fled to the north.
Police are looking for a white male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall. The man was wearing a green hoodie with the number 22 on the back, sunglasses and tan pants, Aro said.
