Police say Matthew Puccio stabbed and suffocated 21-year-old around March 22 inside of her apartment in Urbana, OH, about 40 miles northwest of Columbus. Police have said the Forneys helped Puccio try to cover up the murder and that Andrew helped Puccio dismember the body. The Forneys had moved from Fenton to Urbana and were roommates with Puccio in the duplex where Sacco was killed, according to the Daily Democrat.

"The court may be aware that Matthew Puccio has acknowledged being responsible for the death," Champaign County Prosecutor Nick Selvaggio told the Urbana Daily Citizen. "He then gave a secondary statement that calls into question his first statement and I believe that these defendants that sit before you today have an interest in having every piece of available evidence to them that supports the initial statement that defendant Puccio gave."
