Fenton Teens Arraigned on Charges of Stealing K2

Fenton residents allegedly stole 30 containers of K2 from shop on Silver Lake Road.

Two Fenton teens have been charged with from Smoker's Hub in Fenton.

Zackery Thomas Lloyd, 17 and Thomas Dean Williamson, 19, were arraigned on breaking and entering charges and have a preliminary exam scheduled for June 26.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said two Fenton teens crawled through a vent at on the 2800 block of Silver Lake Road and took 30 containers of K2, three pipes and some cash.

Police responded to the scene after an entry alarm around 4 a.m. June 16 at the business and saw two males behind the store in the field. The suspects ran when they saw the lights and police said they could not locate them.

Police found two abandoned bikes at the scene, however, and Aro said an officer recognized the bikes from making contact with the two teens while they were riding earlier that day and a few days earlier when police said the suspects had been smoking K2 at after hours.

Aro said police knew where the suspects lived and searched the area between the store and the residence and located the suspects near Poplar Street and North Road. Aro said the suspects carried a duffel bag containing the stolen items. He said the males later admitted to the theft.

Gov. Rick Snyder signed into law a ban on K2/Spice Tuesday. The ban goes into effect July 1.

Aro recently sent out a letter to area businesses asking for cooperation in preventing the sale of the . The notice came after an incident on Memorial Day where Aro said a 14-year-old Fenton boy met some strangers at who offered him a sample of what they said was , which later led to a verbal and then physical dispute between the boy and his parents and the boy being hospitalized.
