Firefighters Battle Barn Blaze in Near-Zero Temperatures

Fenton Township firefighters were joined by four other departments.

Firefighters from Fenton Township and four other departments spent about an hour in near-zero temperatures Tuesday afternoon fighting a structure fire at 13122 Linden Road just south of Lahring Road in Fenton Township.

Firefighters responded to the blaze about 3:45 p.m. and by 5 o’clock were focusing their attention on extinguishing any hot spots that remained, The Tri-County Times reports.

A 2,500-square-foot barn was destroyed in the fire, which sent white smoke into the air that could be seen from a distance.
