Holly Police Raid Home in Connection with Obscene Communications to a Minor

The suspect, a 45-year-old Holly man, was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Police executed a search warrant of a Holly home Thursday in connection with Obscene Communications to a Minor charges.

According to a press release from the Holly Police Department, on Feb. 14 at approximately 4:45pm, officers of the Holly Police Department executed a search warrant on Rosette Street in the Village of Holly. The subject named in the search warrant was located by officers sitting in a vehicle in the driveway of the home.

Upon making entry into the home and receiving full cooperation of the homeowner, a search pursuant to the warrant was made, the report said. Officers located various electronic devices and seized these items from inside the home and from the vehicle that had been occupied by the suspect, according to police.

The search warrant was a result of an investigational lead by the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office in Lewiston, Idaho regarding Obscene Communications to a Minor to Holly Detective Julie Bemus, the report said. During the course of that investigation, information was gathered that led to cause for the search warrant. The activity being investigated was found to have ties to several other states as well.

Due to the extent and scope of the activity, the FBI Troy Office was notified and have joined the investigation. The suspect, a 45-year-old Holly man, was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
