Several catalytic converters have been stolen from vehicles parked in Fenton during the last several days, Aro said.

He said thefts have occurred in the VG’s parking lot, Silver Lake car pool lot and parking lots near Poplar Street. He said thieves have been likely using a battery powered saw to cut out the converters.

“It’s tough to catch because it only take a few moments,” Aro said.

He did say police believes some of the thefts are believed to have taken place during the day. Aro said anyone that sees something suspicious should call the Fenton Police at 810-629-5311.
