Mother Calls Police on Drunk 17-year-old Daughter

Police issued a minor in possession of alcohol citation to a 17-year-old Fenton girl after the girl’s mother reported her to police.

Chief Rick Aro said an officer responded to the 100 block of Chinkapin Rill around 3 p.m. Tuesday as a girl’s mother told police her 17-year-old daughter had returned from work and appeared to be intoxicated. The mother found a bottle of liquor in the girl’s bedroom and confronted her about drinking.  

After the confrontation, the girl left the home and went to a friend’s house. An officer eventually found the girl at on Silver Parkway. According to the report, the girl did appear intoxicated and took a preliminary breath test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of .168 – twice the state's legal limit.

Aro said police issued the girl a minor in possession of alcohol citation and took her back home to her mother.
