Police Blotter: Fenton High School Student Arrested on Drug Charges

Here is a look at the city of Fenton Police action from May 11 to May 13.

Officers arrested a student on charges of possession of marijuana after the student had left school without permission, police said.

Chief Rick Aro said on May 11 around 1 p.m., shortly after students had watched a , said school officials reported two male students were seen leaving the school without permission.

The school provided police with a description of the vehicle and officers obtained the address the vehicle was registered, the 1200 block of Lori Lane in Fenton, from the Secretary of State office.

Aro said officers found the students inside the vehicle at that location. He added that officers found a small amount of marijuana in one of the student’s property.

Officers took the 18-year-old Fenton resident to the Fenton Police Department, where he was given a notice to appear in court on charges of marijuana possession. The other student, a 17-year-old Fenton male, was returned to Fenton High School.

Breaking and entering

Police are investigating a breaking and entering complaint that occurred around 5:30 p.m. May 10 on the 600 block of Mill Street.

Aro said the homeowner arrived at the home, which is currently vacant because of remodeling, to find doors open and police said there were fresh pry marks on the lock.

Several items were missing, including light fixtures and copper wiring.

Police have no suspects.
