Police Blotter: Men Chase Two Young Girls, Middle School Student Caught With Marijuana

Here is a look at the city of Fenton Police action from May 24 to May 31.

A letter was set out to students’ parents this week warning of a situation where two men may have been chasing two female students in the area.

Chief Rick Aro said two young girls were playing with a scooter in front of the school around 7 p.m. Saturday when they noticed a white SUV pull up and stop across the street, where it sat for a long period of time.

The girls reported the vehicle then pulled up on the grass near them and two males in black T-shirts got out of the vehicle and began chasing them, Aro said.

According to the police report, on Saturday the girls reported they ran home and went inside to tell their parents about the situation. The father told police that he came out of the residence and observed two males running toward the vehicle. They initially picked up the scooter and tried to load it into the vehicle, he reported, but then left it and fled the scene.

Police were able to later obtain surveillance video from North Road Elementary School and were able to see footage of the vehicle, a mid to late 90s Chevrolet Suburban with black fender skirts and chrome running boards.
