Police Blotter: Weather Freezes Crime

Take a glimpse into the action from the City of Fenton Police Department from Jan. 28 until Feb 5.

Chief Rick Aro said there were no major incidents during and after the winter storm.

He said the request to have residents remove their cars from the street so the roads could be plowed was well received and made the cleanup much quicker and easier.

Aro said there were a couple minor accidents after the roads were plowed and some streets became icy.

“Other than that, it’s been real quiet,” he said.

Breaking and entering

Police are investigating a reported breaking and entering case that occurred at 5 p.m. Jan. 28 on the 1400 block of Appletree Lane.

Aro said said a 14-year-old student had returned from school to find a door open and several items missing, including cash and jewelry. Aro said there was no sign of forced entry in the home.

Aro said police have no suspects and are investigating the incident.
