Police: Fenton Man Tries to Enter Woman's Apartment

A woman told police someone tried to break into her apartment during the early morning hours of Nov. 4 on the 200 block of West Elizabeth Street.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said a the woman told police she heard someone trying to open her apartment door and heard a man talking outside her home. Officers responded and searched the area and found a pair of pants and shoes on the woman’s back deck that did not belong to her, the report said.

Aro said police also found a wallet and drivers license in the man’s pants and later located him sleeping in a garage on the 500 block of West Shiawassee Street. Aro said the man appeared to be intoxicated and did not remember going to the home.

Police have request a warrant for illegal entry.

Missing Motorcycle

A 23-year-old Fenton man told police someone took his motorcycle from the Georgetown Apartments parking lot sometime between Nov. 3 and 4.

Aro said the motorcycle had been chained to a support poll in the parking lot, but the man said he woke up Nov. 4 to find both the motorcycle and the chain missing.

Police have no suspects.

Overnight parking

Parking is prohibited on all city streets and on the municipal parking lots during the months of November, December, January, February and March, from the hours of 2 a.m. until 5 a.m., except for the following:

• Emergency Services personnel (police and fire) in the vicinity of the
  Police Station and Fire Station
• Properly registered vehicles owned by apartment dwellers in the 100 and 400  blocks of S. Leroy Street, and the 100 block of W. Shiawassee Avenue.
