Police Investigating Fenton Township Shooting

Flint Police Operations posted man shot in back during home invasion near Linden and Lahring Roads.

Police are investigating a home invasion and shooting that occurred in Fenton Township Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the 13000 block of Linden Road, according to Linden Police.

Flint Police Operations, a group that monitors police and fire scanner traffic and posts on Facebook and Twitter, posted that police responded to the scene after a home invasion was in progress and a man had been shot in the back. The post said police searched the home for the suspects but none were found.

The Genesee County Sherriff's Department could not be reached for comment Sunday morning. Linden Police declined to provide further information.
