Semi Collides with Car on U.S. 23

No one seriously injured in Friday morning accident.

A semi-truck rammed into the back of a vehicle on U.S. 23 Friday morning, but no one was seriously injured, police said.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said the collision happened around 8:05 a.m. on U.S. 23 just south of Owen Road. Occupants of both vehicles were transported to Genesys Regional Medical Center, but Aro said there were no serious injuries.

Aro said the semi was unable to stop and hit the 2008 Buick Lucern. The truck driver was on Ohio resident. All involved were wearing seatbelts.

Marijuana found during traffic stop

arrested a man on charges of marijuana possession at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 29, police said.

Aro said an officer made a traffic stop on Owen Road near Silver Parkway and noticed that the driver was nervous. The driver told the officer he had marijuana in the vehicle. He showed police the marijuana and he was arrested, taken back to the police department and given a notice to appear in court.

Aro said the man had 11 grams of marijuana.
