Thefts from Vehicles Reported, Fenton Police Arrest Suspicious Man

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred around 8 p.m. Oct. 21 near South Adelaide Street and South Leroy Street, according to police.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said a 25-year-old Fenton resident reported that the passenger side window of her vehicle had been broken and her purse and wallet taken from her vehicle when it was parked on the 400 block of  South Adelaide Street. Police have no suspects or evidence.

A woman also reported her purse and iPhone missing from her vehicle that was parked at Fenton United Methodist Church, Aro said.

The 45-year-old Fenton resident believed her car was locked, but there was no damage to the vehicle, Aro said.

Police have no suspects.

Suspicious person

Police received a report of a suspicious person around the 3000 block of Owen Road around 11:15 p.m. Oct. 21.

Aro said police responded to the call and found an individual that appeared to be intoxicated and loitering in the area. Police had made contact with the 26-year-old man five times during the previous 24 hours, Aro said.

Police arrested the man on disorderly person charges and found he had an outstanding warrant out of Westland on the same charge. The man was turned over to Westland police.
