Two Residents Sent to Hospital After Owen Road Crash

A 23-year-old Fenton man and 58-year-old Linden man suffered minor injuries in crash near Silver Parkway.

Rescue crews transported two local residents to area hospitals after a car crash on Owen Road Tuesday night.

Chief Rick Aro said a 23-year-old Fenton man told police he was driving westbound on Owen Road around 6:12 p.m. in the left lane of traffic when a vehicle made a right turn from southbound Silver Parkway in front of him. The man said he swerved to avoid the vehicle then lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. Aro said the vehicle spun into the eastbound lane of Owen Road where it struck a Chevrolet van driven by a 58-year-old Linden man.

Rescue crews took the Fenton man to Hurley Hospital, while the Linden man was transported to Genesys Regional Medical Center. Both had minor injuries and both were wearing seat belts. Aro said the Linden man also had a passenger in his vehicle, but she was not injured.
