1. Weather

The National Weather Service's forecast for today is a 30 percent chance of showers, with a high of 66 degrees. Tonight's forecast is showers likely (60 percent) with a low of 46.

2. Filling the Tank

The lowest gas price in Fenton Thursday night was $3.95 per gallon, according to Mapquest Gas Prices. The station offering this price, for credit card purchases, was Clark #0824, 436 N. Leroy St. in Fenton.

3. News

Beverly Knox-Pipes, a fired Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) administrator, is accused of misusing more than $87,000 in taxpayer money for personal gain, the Flint Journal reports. Through her attorney, Knox-Pipes has denied claims of misusing funds and equipment, but has not denied allegations of an affair with retired Superintendent Tom Svitkovich.

4. Events

Upward Basketball registration is all day today at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St. in Fenton. The cost is $70 each for the Christian youth basketball program.

5. Looking Ahead

World of Wonder/Ellen Street Campus' Mom 2 Mom Sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the school at 404 W. Ellen St. in Fenton. Children's items will be available to purchase, with $2 early bird admission from 8-9 a.m. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., admission will be $1.
