The National Weather Service's forecast for today is mostly sunny with a high of 64 degrees. Tonight's forecast is mostly clear with a low of 40.

The lowest gas price in Fenton Wednesday afternoon was $3.82 per gallon, according to MichiganGasPrices.com. The station offering this price was Marathon at 402 Silver Lake Rd., in Fenton. The second-lowest price per gallon was $3.85, at Clark, 436 N. Leroy St.

Reports are saying bacon, and other pork products, could increase in price because of this summer’s high temperatures and lack of rain, The Flint Journal said. The summer weather severely affected corn and soybean crops, which feed pigs that provide pork.

The Fenton Community Orchestra’s free rehearsal begins at 6 p.m. today, at Fenton High School, 3200 W. Shiawassee Ave. The group is open to musicians of all ages who are willing to practice and work together to make music in an orchestral setting.

The 8th Annual Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the Palace of Auburn Hills, 6 Championship Drive in Auburn Hills. There will be activities for all age groups, and refreshments will be available for purchase.
