Groveland Township Man Charged with Murder, Police Search for Hoffa's Body

1. A Groveland Township man, Colin Eugene Thompson, 39, has been charged with premeditated murder of his girlfriend, Michele (Missy) Coakley, 40, also of Groveland Township, the Tri-County Times reports. Michigan State Police responded to the 16000 block of Dixie Highway last Friday.

2. Police searched for the body of Jimmy Hoffa under a Roseville driveway, reported St. Clair Shores Patch.

3. The most popular story on Fenton Patch for the week was about the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. told the reason for the holiday and customs that go along with it.

4. Nearly a month after Police Chief Elena Danishevskaya resigned, several residents had questions for the Holly Village Council on the former chief’s sexual harassment complaint, The Holly Express reports.

5. Perani’s Hockey World, based in Flint, will star in a half-hour program on the Ion Network’s “World’s Greatest,” scheduled to be on national cable TV in January, ABC 12 said. Producers for the show say they select some of the best companies and products from around the world.
