Fenton's Relationship with Current EMS Provider Being Challenged

City remains committed to service it receives from STAT EMS, Fenton's attorney says.

An ambulance company is challenging the city attorney Stephen Schultz has told Fenton City Council.

A couple of years ago, another EMS firm challenged Fenton regarding its contract with STAT EMS, Schultz said. The city addressed it, and “they went away,” he said.

Now, the EMS firm, MMR, is raising another challenge, Schultz said.

Fenton remains as strongly committed as ever to the service it has from its current vendor, STAT EMS, he added. The city's fire chief reports very good response times and level of service from STAT.

“I believe we will be successful in addressing this latest challenge,” he said.
