The Genesee Area Focus Fund has received an $850,000 grant that will help sustain summer youth programs.
The funding from the Flint-based C.S. Mott Foundation will "enable the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce to continue to develop and implement summer programs that provide education and employment opportunities for Flint area youth," according to mlive.com.
The Genesee Area Focus Fund operates several programs for the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce.

"The Genesee Area Focus Fund’s purpose is to receive and administer funds dedicated to improving the economy and quality of life of the people of Genesee County," its website says.
