The following information was provided by the Fenton Police Department; an arrest does not necessarily indicate a conviction.
Fenton police ticketed a man for disorderly intoxication after he was acting strangely and admitted to using drugs, police said.
Around midnight on Tuesday, the Fenton Police Department received a call to a gas station on the 400 block of North Leroy Street for a complaint about a disorderly man, said Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro.
Two police cars were dispatched to the business, and officers located the man a few moments later.
The man was observed staggering as he walked, and as officers interviewed him, he appeared agitated and jittery, the police report said. The man, 33, of Linden, told police he used several illegal drugs, including bath salts and Aro said.
Since the man was clearly a danger to himself, police took him into temporary custody and called an ambulance, the police report said. An officer rode with the subject to ensure his safety during transportation, via STAT EMS to Aro said.
The man was causing problems at the gas station and was partly clothed, wearing only pants, he said. He received a citation for disorderly intoxication.
