Car Window Broken at Fenton High School, License Plate Missing

The following information was provided by the Fenton Police Department; an arrest does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Woman reports license plate stolen

A 48-year-old Fenton woman told someone her license plate was missing from her vehicle, which was parked on the 600 block of South West Street.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said the plate had been on her 2009 Saturn, and she last saw it on Sunday evening. The woman told police she discovered the plate missing on Tuesday.

She gave officers her the number of the missing license plate, saying she had no idea who might have taken it, Aro said. Police told her to contact a office to obtain a new license plate, and they would be sure the stolen plate is no longer valid, the police report said.

Window broken out of vehicle at FHS

dispatched a car to in the 3200 block of West Shiawassee Street, around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a broken window on a vehicle. Aro said the police officer contacted the owner of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Fenton man, who said he left his silver Yukon XL parked in the visitors' parking lot at the school. The man reported the back window of his vehicle was broken out.

Nothing was missing from the vehicle, Aro said, and the man told police he believed that possibly a rock was thrown at it. But police did not find a rock around the Yukon. They will check surveillance video footage at the high school for further information, the chief said.
