Picking Fly Poop Out Of Pepper

Let me just say this; the piddly stuff that Levin, Feinstein, Biden and Obama touched on has little to do with the real problem. The Vice President, and lord knows how many other high-level folks just spent the better part of a month concentrating entirely on a resolution to a miniscule problem that affected 45 people in 2012. Actually, it was 27 people because they didn't begin to react until the Connecticut tragedy.

Look, I'm just as emotionally caught up as the next guy but, short of sounding insensitive, the 45 people killed a year in mass murders is a drop in the ocean compared to the horrific crimes that take place every day in this country. Over 16,000 gun murders a year, mostly with illegal, untraceable guns! I guess because it's inner-city kids that are dying, the government just doesn't have the time...

The law-makers' concentration has to shift from their emotionally-driven blip on the statistics-wall, to illegal guns and drugs. Herin lies the resolution to this country's biggest problem.

Oh, and in the mean time, no one has done anything to protect our children as we hand them over to the state-run schools. Disaster drills are nice, but they don't stop a bullet.
