Babysitter Training, First Aid and CPR

This training provides youths with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to children and infants. Participants will learn to develop leadership skills, a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave; and they will learn about basic child care and basic first aid.

This training is designed to help babysitters overcome any reluctance to act in emergencies by recognizing and minimizing the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives.

• Each paid participant receives a Babysitting Handbook, an Emergency Reference Guide and a CD-ROM with Babysitting Tools.
• Child and Infant CPR and First Aid portions require specific skills demonstration and a passing grade on the test.

Parents are required to come into the classroom to pick up their children.
