Senior Living Week 2012

The 14th Annual Senior Living Week, May 11-20, 2012, is organized by the Housing Bureau for Seniors of the University of Michigan Health System.

It’s for you, your friends and family members, and colleagues. There are activities for a wide range of older adults including baby boomers, pre-retirees, recent retirees, the elderly and their adult children.

The Kick-Off: Senior Living Week Expo, May 11 at Washtenaw Community College, Morris Lawrence Building with over 60 exhibits by providers of senior housing, care, services and products to enhance quality of life and independence. Workshops, free gifts, health screenings, and a variety of assessments will be offered.  

Workshops: May 11-18 throughout Washtenaw County. Topics include health, memory loss, home technologies & assistive devices, intergenerational communications, long term care, financial & legal issues, moving & downsizing and more. **Registration is required for all Workshops. Registration Deadline: Friday, April 27, 2012.

Open houses: May 12 – 20 at senior housing communities throughout Washtenaw County.NO registration required to attend the Expo or the Open Houses.
