Heavy snowfall throughout early Friday morning resulted in the third "snow day" of the year for Fenton and Lake Fenton schools.
The districts announced the school closing, because of weather and poor road conditions.
Fenton Area Public Schools posted that the Fenton High School Ambassadors concert will take place as scheduled. The basketball game at Brandon High School is cancelled. The middle school swim meet is also cancelled.

More than 400 school districts in southeast Michigan were closed Thursday, according to various news reports including Linden Schools and Holly School district.
The snow began in just after midnight Thursday and will continue throughout the day.

Today's forecast calls more snow, according to the National Weather Service, with snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
