Sahouri Wins Settlement Against Argentine Township, Police Officer

Former Creekside principal will receive $150,000 settlement.

Former Creekside principal Tracey Sahouri has reached a settlement agreement with her lawsuit filed in January against Argentine Township and Officer Arch Ravert of the Argentine Police Department, according to court records from the Genesee County Circuit Court.

The Press and Argus reports that Sahouri will receive a $150,000 settlement, which she calls a "vindication," according to the story.

In July, 2011, Sahouri and her husband were ticketed for knowingly hosting a graduation party with underage drinking. The charges were dismissed in December with Sahouri filing a lawsuit shortly after claiming the charges were detrimental to her career and reputation.

Sahouri also has a lawsuit against, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"tracey-sahour"} --> Hartland Consolidated Schools claiming they violated the Whistleblower Protection Act. In April, the Hartland school board voted

Veronica stated what I was thinking. While I understand this settlement, if indeed she was harassed by the Police Officer as it sounds like she was, I do not understand how she got away with allowing underage drinking at her home. And, I really have a hard time with the $525K settlement offer from the school district for her other suit.

The prosecutor threw out the drinking case, because it was baseless. Sahouri won a 100k settlement against the police department. See, we have this innocent until proven guilty thing around here. Perhaps you've heard of it.
