Fenton AGS Swim Team Opens Season with Win

Tigers defeat Owosso 95-72.

The Co-Ed Swim Team opened the season with a 95-72 victory over Owosso Wednesday night. 

Owosso took 6 first places in the 11 events, but depth was the difference and helped the Tigers to the win.

Individuals taking firsts for the Tigers were, Jared Fallis in the 50 Free (28.48) and the 50 Back (31.78), Zoe Weinberg in Diving (90.90) and Lauren Gruber in the 50 Breast  (40.03). The 200 Free Relay team of Kyle Banner, Grace Siefker, Emma Cagle and Haylee Skank also took first with a time of 2:10.02.

The second place finishers were, Zac Miceli in the 100 IM (1:16.73) and the 50 Butterfly (34.40), Kevin Lack in the 50 Free (30.13), Banner in the 100 Free (1:10.15), the 200 Medley Relay team of Fallis, Gruber, Miceli and Skank (2:25.32), the 200 Free Relay of James Kryza, Rashard Ingram, Donovan Vickers and Lack (2:11.20) and the 400 Free Relay team of Miceli, Banner, Elise Cassidy and Skank (4:40.26).

The third place finishers were Cagle, in the 200 Free (2:41.54), Gruber in the 100 IM (1:19.48), Skank in the 50 Butterfly (37.32), Cassidy in the 50 Back (36.03), the 200 Medley Relay team of Cassidy, Banner, Sylee Kiran and Brennen Henson (2:25.80) and the 400 Free Relay team of Fallis, Rylie Becker, Henson and Gruber (4:48.13). Others earning points were Kylayha Tietema, Emily Kinser and Brittny Bodenschatz.

Fenton hosts Swartz Creek Tuesday and travels to face Kearsley-Davison Wednesday.
