Fenton-Linden Football Game Will Be Broadcast on Michigan Regional Sports Network

Thursday's Metro League showdown can be viewed online for those who can't make it to Fenton High School.

Just one week after in the season opener, things get no easier for the football team. Fenton hosts rival Linden at 7 p.m. Thursday.

A positive for Fenton, however, is that their first game against Lapeer West should help prepare them for the matchup with Linden. West's biggest weapon is a playmaking wide receiver, Zeshawn Jones-Parker. Linden also happens to have a big play receiver, Kevin Baker. Baker had six catches for 78 yards in Linden's season-opening win over Swartz Creek. Containing Baker will be a big key for Fenton if they're going to be able to control Linden's high-powered offense.

Last season's game was back and fourth. Fenton built an early lead, fell behind and then tied it to send it to overtime with a fourth quarter touchdown. Linden won it in overtime. Fenton has lost 10 straight games to Linden. Their last win over the Eagles was 17-0 in the 2000 season.
