Fenton Youth Baseball Team Donates to Charity
Group stuffs a truck for Carriage Town Ministries.
The Fenton Crush Travel Baseball team held a very successful stuff-a-truck fundraiser Dec. 17 at the VGs in Fenton to support Carriage Town Ministries in Flint.
With help from friends, family and most importantly the community, the group of boys collected a truck full of clothing, another truck of food and raised over $800 in cash that will purchase a second truck of food – all for the non-profit group that provides food, clothing, shelter, men's recovery program, youth programming and educational training.
“The day was a huge success and we are very grateful to the community” said Coach Mike Gross. “A sincere thanks from The Fenton Crush and Carriage Town Ministries. The kindness that our neighbors showed warmed our hearts and set a wonderful example for our players.”
