Lady Jane's to Break World Record and More This Weekend

1. Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men Breaks World Record, Launches Metro Detroit Foundation

• When: Friday, August 23, 2013, 8:00 AM
• Where: 3921 Rochester Rd, Troy
  
• What: To launch its new foundation, Wicked Awesome Wishes, Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men is hosting a world record event on August 23rd, to break the world record for the most haircuts in 12 hours by a group of ten stylists as well as the individual record for most haircuts by an individual stylist in 12 hours. The event will run from 8 am - 8 pm at Lady Jane's headquarters in Troy (3921 Rochester Rd).

2. Painting Class

• When: Thursday, August 22, 2013, 7:00 PM
• Where: Fenton Winery & Brewery
• What: Learn how to paint a "Wine Glass." Our class instructor, Dawn, supplies all you need to create your own unique 16x20 canvas painting in just 2 hours! You must register in advance, space is limited!

3. Booths, Books & Bites: A Library Lawn & Treasure Sale

• When: Saturday, August 24, 2013, 10:00 AM
• Where: 9800 Pontiac Trail South Lyon, MI

How about the opportunity to go to a whole bunch of yard sales, right in one place?  The Salem-South Lyon District Library will be hosting a community lawn and treasure sale Saturday, August 24th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Individuals, crafters, businesses and others are welcome to apply to sell items.
