St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church is located on South Long Lake Road, near Torrey Road and US23. The formation of a new Orthodox parish in the city of Fenton began in July of 2002. The new church building was completed and occupied in May of 2008. The church design is a Russian-Alaskan style that is surrounded by woods and the Shiawassee River.
