Weekend Countdown: Craft Fair Weekend

Bringing you the latest and greatest for the weekend in Fenton and the surrounding area.

Our pick for today: Craft Fair Weekend Where: Fenton United Methodist Church and Fenton High School When: Fenton United Methodist Church Holiday Craft & Small Business Expo takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the church; the States Road Arts & Craft Show is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at the high school. Cost: $2 per person for each event Why go: These are established shows that joined forces to make Fenton a holiday arts and crafts/small business expo venue to be reckoned with; the events benefit church ministry efforts as well as student scholarship funding. Weekend Countdown: 'Jumping Through the Lens' Event Supports Local Art, Aids Make-A-Wish

Bringing you the latest and greatest for the weekend in Fenton and the surrounding area.

Our pick for today: 'Jumping Through the Lens' Where: The Opera House, 123 W. Grand River Ave., Howell When: doors open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19; performance is at 8 p.m. Cost: $5 at the door Why go: This photography, graphic design and dance exhibit hosted by Michigan Dance Project includes informal showing of excerpts from "Soul Mates." Delicious snacks, refreshments and great music are featured. In addition, a portion of all admissions, art and merchandise sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
