Torrential Rain Hits Fenton, Rose Township Man Survives Scary Crash

As usual, there was plenty of news in Fenton this week.

Here is a look at what you might have missed. Fenton Patch shared the story of Eclections' move to its new location at 495 Fenway Dr. in Fenton. The store first opened in 2007, and it features clothing, accessories, jewelry and more. We provided you with the news about the Loose Senior Center's new softball team, which ended its first season in the Tri-County Senior Softball League with the championship win. The annual walk across the Mackinac Bridge was Monday, and Fenton Patch shared information on the Michigan Department of Transportation's new contest. Participants can share photos, videos and other memories of past bridge walks, for chances to win a Pure Michigan gift pack and a special tour for two to the top of the Mackinac Bridge. …

Fenton's Billmeier Camera Shop Begins Photo Contest

Anyone can enter; theme for October is Pets and Animals.

Photographers, clean your lenses. Billmeier Camera Shop in Fenton has a new photo contest for anyone who would like to participate. Entering is free, and one winner each month will receive a 16 by 20 print, said Amanda Burton, who is coordinating the contest. The seventh month of the contest is open only to the six winners from the previous months, and one of them will receive a grand prize. The idea for the circular contest came from a Billmeier Camera Shop customer, Garrett Gormley, who suggested it on the business' Facebook page, Burton said.
