Event will be held in conjunction with Bastille Day in Fenton on July 13.
The Fenton Downtown Development Authority is looking for artists for the 3rd annual Fenton ArtWalk, held in conjunction with The Laundry’s 2013 Bastille Day 5K Run/Walk and 15K Run, Saturday July 13. The Fenton ArtWalk will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will be located in Downtown Fenton, at Leroy, from Shiawassee to the Fenton Hotel. Every kind of talented artisan is an ideal participant. Art will go through a review process to ensure fine art integrity. If artist has fine art to display and sell, they are asked to submit two to three color photos per medium (with a maximum of 3 mediums) in jpg or pdf to: Fenton@newmoonvisions.net for review. Visitors flock to downtown Fenton for event.
A steady flow of people strolled through downtown Fenton Saturday for the second annual Fenton Art Walk. A total of 29 locations housed participating artists, entertainment and family fun. Participating artists displayed and sold their art in a unique storefront venue. Businesses featured specials and drawings. Fenton Patch gave away prizes from Patch, Joe and Lewie's Penalty Box, and The UPS Store. In the weeks leading up to the Fenton Art Walk, Fenton Patch introduced you to some of the participating artists in a Faces of the Fenton Art Walk Series.

Bastille Day and the Fenton Art Walk scheduled.
Fine art and runners will be everywhere in Fenton today. Officials are hoping the second Fenton Art Walk planned for July 14 is bigger and better than a year ago. The Bastille Day event has been a staple in Fenton for 10 years, bringing more than 1,000 runners downtown in 2010 and 2011. Along with art displayed at merchants throughout downtown, entertainment is scheduled for the day this time around. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Fenton Artwalk is a community event celebrating the arts and showcasing local and regional artists.
